Who else can't believe it's already August? That must mean it's time for our August work party!

Join us Sunday, August 16th, from 10 am to 12 pm, at both garden sites.

You know the drill by now; weeding, compost, and having a great time.

Rain date will be shared if necessary.

Gardening Work Party: July 11, 2026

Attention gardeners!! It's now time for the July edition of the GCG work party.

Please join us Saturday, July 11th, from 10am to 12pm at both garden sites. Rain date will be the following Sunday at the same time.

Gardeners can expect to help with weeding, compost, and many other tasks that keep our gardens looking nice

Indigenous Plants and Traditional Systems & Tomato Growing Workshop - June 27, 2026

Join fellow gardeners to learn about Indigenous plants and traditional food systems, and gain practical tips on staking and maintaining healthy tomato plants.

📅 Date: Saturday, June 27

🕓 Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

📍 Location: Parkdale-Bullman Site

🌿 Connecting to Indigenous Plants and Traditional Food Systems

Learn how urban Indigenous youth are connecting to the land and practicing Indigenous food sovereignty through community gardening. This session includes storytelling and plant identification focused on Indigenous plants and their cultural significance.

🍅 Learn How to Stake and Prune Tomatoes

Learn about different techniques to support healthy tomato growth and improve your harvest.

Light refreshments will be provided.
